Torino, standing at the foot of the Alps and known as the Fiat-Town, started some twenty years ago a process of deep changes towards a new urban identity. With the huge transformation, the city has become a laboratory for the reconversion of the post-industrial heritage. The directions of change are multiple and they are leaving important signs in its urban fabric. Besides its industrial history, Torino surprises the visitor with its famous Baroque architecture, and with some masterpieces of two famous modern Italian architects, Pier Luigi Nervi and Carlo Mollino.
